Eric Putzig

Following two years of training in a Zen temple in Japan, Eric received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology after studying in the United States, India, China, and Japan. After receiving his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University, he worked in the United States, for the Bank of Tokyo’s legal department, and for a Thai law firm in Bangkok.

Since January of 1997, he has been employed with the University of San Francisco Law School’s Center for Law and Global Justice. In Cambodia, he served as Director of Teacher Training for the National Institute of Management; established the National Election Advisory Council; assisted the United Nations with its Commune Election Law draft; and trained local authorities in children’s rights. During his free time he established a program to provide housing, food, and educational opportunities for severely economically depressed youth. He is the co-author of two legal textbooks, and the sole author of four legal textbooks. Currently stationed in Bali, he is establishing an alternative dispute resolution center, and actively training in the field of legal research & writing.
