James earned his Bachelors at the University of Ghana and his Barrister-at-Law degree at Ghana Law School. He played a very important role in writing Ghana's current Constitution, worked with the First and Second Parliaments of Ghana's Fourth Republic, and retired as the Deputy Clerk of Parliament. James is particularly interested in ensuring that laws have a practical benefit for citizens and in increasing opportunities for meaningful civic participation in governance.

Posesi Bloomfield As Attorney General of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Posesi Bloomfield is the principal legislative drafter and policy analyst for the Attorney General's office.
Sela Tupou Sela Tupou is currently employed in dual roles -- as the legal advisor for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as the Acting Legislative Counsel for the Parliament. As legislative counsel, she is required to draft and amend bills, resolutions and regulations for the Members of Parliament. Sela previously worked as a Legal Advisor for the Marshall Islands' Ministry of Foriegn Affairs, where she drafted Labor and Immigration bills and regulations, Alcohol and Tobacco licensing regulations, and the Foreign Affairs Bill and regulations. Ms. Tupou also exerpted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Foreign Policy Manual.

Atif Ali Atif did his B.Sc. in Foresrty from University of Peshawar in 1990. After teaching for some time, he joined a Foresrty related project in the FAO of the United Nations. Then he served the Accounts Department. After passing the Competitive Exam (CSS) in 1995, Atif joined the Income Tax Group, and has served as ACIT/ DCIT since then. Sultan Bahadur Khan After graduating from Peshawar University with a BA in Political Science and English, Sultan studied Law, and received an LLB from Sind Muslim Law College, at the University of Karachi. He entered legal practice in his father's chamber in 1986, and undertook a diplomatic assignment and served as the government's Community Welfare Attache in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 1990. In 1991, Sultan began his legal practice in Pakistan. Sultan is currently the regional coordinator for the Pakistani Human Rights Commission, and continues to pursue his legal practice.

Mohsin Abbas Syed Mohsin received his LL.B. (1992) and LL.M. (1998) from Punjab University. He worked as a professional lawyer from 1992 to 2003, excepting the period of four years (1997-2001) during which I served as a civil judge/magistrate. In 2003, Mohsin joined the law department of the Punjab Government as legal draftsman. In 2005, he was appointed as Director Legislation & Parliamentary Affairs in the same department. Huma Ikramullah Kashif earned her LL.B from S.M. Law College in 2001 and secured the first class first position in Karachi. She completed an internship with Surridge and Beecheno and then joined Glaxo SmithKline. After that, she joined IUCN – World Conservation Union where she managed the Environmental Law Programme. She also started teaching Environmental Law, Human Rights, Sale of Goods Act, Easement and Land Acquisition Act in Hamdard Law College. At present, Huma isworking as the Provincial Coordinator of Sindh for the Pakistan Legislative Strengthening Program. Huma attended the one day and two week workshop in Islamabad on legislative drafting. She is currently working to receive her LLM, and is facilitating the group in Karachi, Sindh.
Mohammad Akmal Wasim: Mohammad received his legal degree in 1982, and then enrolled as Advocate for the High Court of Sindh. He has practiced extensively both on the civil as well as criminal side at appellate level. In 1996, Mohammad was appointed Asst. General of Sindh and Legal Advisor to the Federal Ministry of Human Rights. In 1997, he enrolled as an Advocate for the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Mohammad began teaching law in 1998, and currently works as an Asst. Professor of Law, teaching Jurisprudence & Legal Theory and the US Constitution, at the Hamdard School of Law (Hamdard Univ.).

NWFP Provincial Judicial Reforms Specialist for the Asian Development Bank; and an Additional District and Sessions Judge. I am working as Deputy Secretary National Assembly of Pakistan. Qamar is presently a Project Coordinator for PLSP-USAID and
another project SDPD-UNDP for the National Assembly. He attended the July-August,
2006 Workshop on Legislative Drafting.
Hasnain Kazmi Hasnain received his LL.B. from the University of the Punjab in December 1995 and joined this legal profession in Februaray 1996. He worked as a junior associate in a reputed law firm from Feb 1996 to December 1997 and then I went to Buckingham law school U.K., where he specialized in International & Commercial Law. After earning his degree, he returned to Pakistan and started practicing as banking and corporate lawyer. Hasnain formed a small law-firm of my own comprised of a team of professional associates in 2002, which serves corporate clients including oil companies, multinational companies and financial institutions. In 2005, Hasnain was appointed Assistant Advocate General (Punjab). He still serves in that post, and his responsibilities include taking care of all the matters of Government of the Punjab in the Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench.
