Year: 1995 (Project run through Boston University) Funder: UNDP Project: Coping with NAFTA changes (institutional change), looked at shrimp farming, human resource development, natural resources development, and finance problems. Participant number and learning method: one week workshop with senior level officials (Ministers of Trade and Agriculture) and private sector representatives Bills Drafted: Shrimp farming, Human resource development, Natural resources development, and finance. Current Status: Participants in this workshop went on to create a Task Force for institutional change in law and policy making in conjunction with the Society for the Promotion of Education and Research (SPEAR). |
