Lorna was introduced to the Problem-Solving methodology as a law student at Boston University, where she participated in the Legislative Services Program (taught by Professors Robert Seidman and Cynthia Barr) as a Drafter, Editor, and Editor-in-Chief. Since receiving her J.D., Ms. Seitz has taught; served as the Executive Director for a local non-profit; provided program analyses and strategic planning advice to non-profit clients; and served as legal counsel to a diverse body of private clients. Lorna has served as an Editor for the Distance Course on Legislative Drafting for Democratic Social Change since 2002, and has directed the course since 2004. Lorna has also presented at workshops in developing and transitional nations for members of parliament, ministry staff and senior-level officials working on proposals to combat corruption and to increase the transparency and effectiveness of governmental decision-making processes.
Ms. Seitz received her J.D. from Boston University and her Masters in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. Lorna's research interests include developing strategies for institutionalizing participatory decision-making processes and increasing the equity, sustainability and effectiveness of environmental policies.
